本書是講古佬雄仔叔叔在八十年代當教師時，出版的《教師手記》再版，除了一篇篇紀錄了他在學校體制裡遇到的人和事外，還加上他近年四處講故和當客席教師的教學報告、雨傘運動時的詩作與筆記塗鴉。《教師手記・再上路》延續了雄仔叔叔在1982年寫下的願景：「將可能從現實裏解放出來，把美好的想像變為另一個現實」。
